If car rental prices in France this summer remain stable compared to last year, the Carigami comparator reveals the most affordable destinations, at less than 300 euros per week.

What prices for car rental this summer? The comparator Carigami takes stock of a study that analyzes the expected prices, quite stable compared to last year on average in France, at 331 euros per week.

Prices that are still much higher than before Covid, +69% compared to 2019 according to the Carigami study.

The cheapest countries in Europe.

Among the most popular countries to go to this summer, France is more expensive in terms of car rental for a week than our European neighbors: count 284 euros in Italy, 202 euros in Spain, 182 euros in Portugal or 247 euros in Greece.

The bill is higher in the United States (409 euros per week), Canada (503 euros) and Iceland (567 euros).

From 276 euros to 435 euros in France

Beyond the average price, there is a big difference depending on your destination in France. Among the most affordable cities, Lille takes first place with a weekly rental costing an average of 276 euros. Brest and Mulhouse (285 euros) complete this podium.

In the rest of the top 10 we find Rennes (296 euros), Ajaccio (306 euros), Toulouse (310 euros), Bastia (314 euros), Lyon (333 euros), Grenoble and Toulon (336 euros).

On the contrary, the budget for renting a car skyrockets in certain cities. Count 435 euros on average for a week in Biarritz and 422 euros in Bordeaux.

Other cities above the French average of 331 euros: Nice (403 euros), Avignon (386 euros), Avignon (386 euros) and Paris (372 euros).
