The armored Peugeot 205 GTI that belonged to the CEO of LVMH is for sale on Leboncoin. Since the previous sale in 2018, it has not’has barely driven and its price is’has shot up by 60%.

Want to drive a French vehicle?’Exception? Bernard Arnault’s armoured Peugeot 205 GTI is (again) for sale. A professional seller based in Montussan, near Bordeaux, posted an ad on Leboncoin on 1 September.

The car was purchased new by Bernard Arnault in July 1990. Although it has a 1.9-litre engine with 130 horsepower, we should not bet too much on its reputation as a small, lightweight sports car. To enhance its security, the CEO of LVMH had this model armoured by the French conversion specialist Labbé.

It weighs 1.4 tonnes on the scales, almost 50% more than the 910 kg expected for a 205 GTI. The brakes and suspension of the little Peugeot, however, had been reinforced to bear the weight of the metal panels and double glazing, sufficient to maintain a healthy driving behaviour.

A price higher than 60% compared to 2018

In 2009, this armored 205 GTI was sold to a collector, who’It was put back on the market in 2018.

This new ad posted online shows that the vehicle has been driven very little over the past six years. In 2018, it did indeed have 14,700 kilometres on the odometer, compared to the current 14,934 km.’today.
