Craftsmen who suffered damage during the recent riots in France will be able to benefit from a “disaster fund” usually reserved for natural disasters, the national organization of Chambers of Trades and Crafts (CMA) has announced.
The CMA Disaster Fund, created in 1963, is primarily an emergency fund intended to provide exceptional assistance to artisans whose business is damaged after a natural disaster.
CMA France could not immediately assess how many artisans would apply for the fund.
Economy Minister Bruno Le Maire had asked insurers to extend the deadlines for reporting claims, reduce deductibles and quickly compensate professionals who were victims of the riots. A renewed call yesterday Friday.
