Nuclear reactivation: EDF will have to invest 25,000 million euros a year, according to its CEO

Interviewed by the Economic Affairs Commission of the National Assembly, Luc Rémont estimates that 80% of the investments will go to France.

EDF must increase to a level of 25 billion euros of investments per year, of which 80% dedicated to France, declared on Wednesday the executive director of the group, Luc Rémont, before the economic affairs commission of the National Assembly.

EDF must work with the government on a new national consensus on the price of electricity, Luc Rémont also said.

The EDF chief executive also confirmed the target of 300-330 terawatt-hours (TWh) of nuclear production in France in 2023 and 350 TWh from 2025.
