The Casino group has decided to reinforce its fuel offer at cost price. The distributor announced this Monday that it will generalize this price every day until December 31. Until now, the brand only offered this price on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays until October 22.
In addition, the Casino will offer “a 10 euro voucher, issued at the station, valid for purchasing food in stores, in order to support the purchasing power of the French.”
Let us remember that in Leclerc, fuel at cost price is applied “in the 696 service stations of the brand’s hypermarkets.” National and highway service stations will not be affected, a press release states. Carrefour sideFuel is sold without margin every day, and until the end of the year, in all its hypermarkets.
120,000 operations
Among the other brands: Intermarché, which has more than 1,400 stations in France, announced on September 12 the resumption of operations at cost price every month, but not permanently. These operations are scheduled for Friday, September 29 and Saturday, September 30, Friday, October 27 and Saturday, October 28, Friday, November 24 and 25, and Friday, December 15 and Saturday, December 16.
The Government has announced “almost 120,000 operations” at cost price that will be carried out “in 4,000 stations” until the end of the year. A system that is added to that of the Totalenergies network (3,400 stations) that limits the price per liter to 1.99 euros, at least until the end of the year.
