A possible delivery of Taurus long range missiles to Ukraine “would completely ruin” relations between Moscow and Berlin, said Russian President Vladimir Putin. Ukraine continues to ask, in vain, the delivery by Germany of German missile missiles of long -rank, believing that they need to counteract the Russian daily attacks.
On a visit to kyiv last week, German Defense Minister announced the release of an additional military aid of 1.9 billion euros to support Ukraine. When he was asked to know if Germany was intended to deliver Taurus missiles to Ukraine, Boris Pistorius closed the door. “Ask me if we are considering it, my answer is no,” he said. These missiles with a variety of more than 500 kilometers would make it possible to reach the Russian territory in depth, when Ukraine suffers a wave of intense Russian bombing.
Local production assistance
The sociodemocrat of Foreign Minister Olaf Scholz has always denied it. His Christian democratic successor Friedrich Merz, in office since the beginning of May, had spoken for the delivery of these weapons, but finally opted for the help for the production of long -term missiles by the local armament industry. The first system of this type will be ready “in the coming months,” said Boris Pistorius when he travels to kyiv.
Moscow had already warned in advance that Taurus missile deliveries would be considered a Berlin participation in the war.
