A Roissy-CDG airport controller suspended for having said “free Palestine” to the crew of an Israeli company

A “disciplinary procedure began immediately” against the air controller, said Minister Philippe Taboat, who asks “a sanction to the severity of the facts.”

An airport of Roissy-CDG “has seen any possibility of exercising until new notice,” said Transportation Minister Philippe Tabarot, on Tuesday, August 12, after he said Monday “Palestine Free” during an exchange of radio with the crew of the Israeli company El Al, said the ministry.

He indicated that “the disciplinary procedure began immediately” and requested a “sanction to the seriousness of the facts.”

According to the minister, this is a violation of “the rules of the radiocommunications, which must be limited to the safety and regularity of air traffic”, and “a breach of the duty of the official’s reserve.”
