The Board of Directors of Île-de-France Mobilités, the organizing authority for mobility in the Île-de-France region, on Tuesday entrusted Keolis with the operation of lines 16 and 17 of the Ile-de-France metro. These two lines, the first to be opened to competition in Île-de-France, will be put into service from October 2026.
This 7-year contract, with 3 years of optional extensions, also includes the management, from June 2024 before the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, of the Saint-Denis Pleyel station, the largest station on the Ile-de metro -France.
Shorten travel times
Line 16 will connect 10 stations, from Saint-Denis Pleyel to Noisy-Champs, in less than 30 minutes and will serve Clichy-sous-Bois or Montfermeil. It shares a 6.4 km section with line 17, connecting the Saint-Denis Pleyel, La Courneuve Six-Routes and Le Bourget RER stations, as well as the operations center located in the municipalities of Aulnay-sous-Bois and Gonesse .
Line 17 will connect 9 stations, from Saint-Denis Pleyel to Mesnil-Amelot, in less than 25 minutes. It will offer numerous connections with the metro lines (14, 15, 16), RER B and D, trams 1 and T11 Express.
