all day Supernatural fans were waiting for it to finally arrive earlier this week, as the drama’s first official spin-off, the Winchesters made its debut as a member of TV program 2022 . While the show certainly did a lot in its first hour, including creating Big Bad for the season and breaking the established canon in several important ways , there are already two absolutely important questions about the series in general. When and where, exactly, does Dean Winchester call the action? Well, the showrunner has now opened up about when fans will get more weather responses than him in the new prequel and whether we’ll see more familiar faces.
What did the Winchester showrunner say about where Dean is on the show?
I think it’s fair to say it after those behind Supernatural had already made a few attempts on a spin-off that never aired, fans were thrilled that a series would focus on the romance and adventures of John and Mary Winchester (Sam and Dean’s loving parents) was led by the show’s former co-frontman, Jensen Ackles. And it was even better when we learned it his character would be there to tell tail. However, with the way the parenting show ended for Dean, he automatically led to some questions about the when, where, why and how of his narrative.
when we speak with television line During the premiere, showrunner Robbie Thompson explained when eager viewers would get more details on Dean, saying:
Where is Dean is a mystery for now. We’ve provided clues in some of the images that some fans have already figured out and have theories as to where it is. But we will surely find out where this handsome young man is in relation to the last few seasons of Supernatural. . . . These are all wonderful theories that I can neither confirm nor disprove. But we’ll find out in our first 13 episodes, 100%.
One thing fans have been wondering is how Dean could be on this journey to find out more about the time his parents spent together before they got married and had children without Sam. While Thompson is a big secret (and reasonably) about when we see / hear Dean in the preset timeline, it’s nice to know there are clues to that and they won’t keep us waiting forever. to discover. I have a theory that I’m sure many other fans have pondered over, and I can definitely wait a few weeks to see if it goes well.
While we all loved seeing Dean on our screens again, however briefly, there was another one Supernatural cameo that viewers may have missed, in the form of a voiceover from actor Gil McKinney, who played John’s father Henry on the parenting series. If you are wondering if we will see or hear even more recognizable characters with the Winchesters problem moving forward, the showrunner also noted:
Absolutely. We will see supernatural faces. I’m not free to say who yet, but in the latter part of our first 13 episodes, you’re definitely going to see familiar faces, which really, really turns me on.
I mean, they almost have to give us a few more cameos, right? When you have so many immortal / magical characters to play as them (like a certain False god and Norse prophet who is actually much more ), there should be no problem when it comes to bringing some of the people we know and love back to life for the freshman fantasy.
We can see how everything shakes when the Winchesters airs Tuesdays on The CW, at 8pm EST.
