Elizabeth Debicki, new interpreter of Princess Diana in the fifth season of The crownHe paid tribute to him this week on the red carpet of the Netflix phenomenon series preview.
The 32-year-old actress wore a black Dior dress with a scarf attached to the rest of the outfit. An ensemble reminiscent of Catherine Walker’s sky blue dress that Diana wore during her visit to the Cannes Film Festival in 1987.
According to British Vogue, it took Dior teams 300 hours to create the actress’ outfit seen in Gatsby the magnificent Y beginning. Ambassador of the luxury brand, Elizabeth Debicki will also play Diana in the sixth season of The crown.
A considerable expectation
The new episodes, online from Wednesday on Netflix, focus on the 1990s, marked by the breakup between Prince Charles and Diana, creating great anticipation but also strong criticism of the liberties the series takes.
This season evokes in particular Princess Diana’s shocking television interview with the BBC about Charles’s infidelity, the latter’s adulterous relationship with Camilla Parker Bowles or his divorce.
For this season, Imelda Stauton plays the queen, replacing Olivia Colman. Dominic West and Elizabeth Debicki succeed Josh O’Connor and Emma Corrin as Charles and Diana.
