A week after the death of the Oscar -winning actor and his wife, new elements of the investigation are made public.

The investigation of the death of actor Gene Hackman and his wife Betsy Arakawa, found dead last week in his house in New Mexico, is advancing.

The Gaz Du Nouveau Mexico company confirmed on Tuesday, March 4 that it has found a “small” gas leak in the actor’s stove. But it could not have been deadly, it specifies its report, which observed a rate of only 0.33% of carbon monoxide.

During his investigation, the gas company also found several failures in the water heater and the chimneys, but nothing that could have caused a gas leak or a carbon monoxide poisoning.

“Without trauma”

The carbon monoxide poisoning track “seems to be excluded,” he had already indicated to the Sheriff a few days ago. The couple’s daughter had presented her in the media, but the tests performed in the two bodies proved to be “negative.”

“Without trauma” he also found in the bodies, he had also added the sheriff. “I suppose that if they had fallen, if they had been injured (…), the Forensic doctor would have discovered it,” he added, without revealing the nature of the pills that are in the act.

The investigation did not exclude any clue, he had still insisted. The complete autopsy results and toxicological analyzes should have been several weeks.

The 95 -year -old actor and his 63 -year -old woman found themselves lifeless on Wednesday, February 26 in Santa Fe, with the body of one of her dogs. Gene Hackman had last appeared on the screen on the movie Welcome to Mooseport (2004) and officially announced his retirement in 2008.
