If his autobiography contains surprising revelations about the British royal family, Prince Harry, however, assures that he “did not intend to harm” Prince William or his father, King Charles III.
“Nothing I have done in this book or otherwise was done with the intention of harming or hurting them,” he said in an interview with Britain’s ITV channel, according to comments reported by Skynews.
Various extracts from Substitute, which will go on sale on January 10, was leaked to the international press. Prince Harry recounts in his book in particular having experienced a violent altercation with his brother William in London in 2019 or how his brother and his wife Kate encouraged him, when he was 20, to dress up as a Nazi during a costume party, which caused a scandal, according to Sun.
Harry wants to “reconnect” with his family
Despite these revelations, Harry said he wanted to “reconnect with his father and brother”, hammering back “I love my father, I love my brother, I love my family.”
He also said that he had done his best to communicate privately with his family for the past six years, saying that he “had conversations, I wrote letters, I wrote emails.”
Prince Harry will give two new television interviews, between now and the release of his book, on CBS on Sunday night and ABC on Monday.
