As GMA3’s Amy Robach and TJ Homes sign exit deals, sources say ABC has struggled to pay Robach less

The saga involving contrasting television personalities The alleged working relationship between TJ Holmes and Amy Robach He’s been wreaking havoc for months. ABC News had conducted an internal investigation to determine the fate of her career, and reports late last week He said the two will not return to CMG3 . It has now been reported that Robach and Holmes have signed their exit deals. But interestingly, as far as Robach is concerned, the network would do anything to pay his contract less.

Amy Robach and TJ Holmes reportedly signed on the dotted line last Friday page 6 . The move follows mediation between the two presenters and the network, and those talks were previously reportedly contentious. ABC News chief Kim Godwin sent an internal memo to staff on the matter, calling the matter a “distraction” in the message. A company spokesperson also confirmed the news through a published statement:

After several productive conversations with Amy Robach and TJ Holmes about different options, we all agree that it’s in our best interests to leave ABC News. We recognize your talent and commitment over the years and are grateful for your input.

As of this writing, the exact terms of these agreements have not been disclosed. However, page 6 it also reported that before the shutdown, the network would be investigating a number of alleged details about Amy Robach. As the outlet explains, when entertainment companies look to remove talent after a scandal, they may try to find negative details about said person in order to reduce the salary on offer. In case of Robach (who was taken from heaven back in December alongside TJ Holmes), the Alphabet Network has reportedly looked at every possible angle on it. However, a source says the media conglomerate could only find “minor” details about her.

One of the sticking points ABC allegedly relied on was the alleged workplace alcoholism regarding the CMG3 co-host. Apparently, Amy Robach sometimes had alcohol in her dressing room, which is a violation of company protocol. However, one of Page Six’s whistleblowers claims that these bottles were not only sealed, but were never taken to the workplace. It was even claimed that Robach had come to work one morning drunk, though that was deemed “crazy” by one source, who claimed she was just tired. Another unidentified person also said:

That’s how ridiculous it got. In the media they send you bottles [as gifts] and the bottles in his room were sealed. Other people in the office also have alcohol, it’s everywhere and it’s not open.

With this apparent strategy, one would think that, in theory, it would have been less difficult for network officials to criticize TJ Holmes. Over the past few months, he’s reportedly had several workplace romances. Allegedly, Holmes was in a relationship with a CMG extension producer years ago and he had another with a third ABC employee . And just this month, a source claimed it Holmes had sex in his office with a screenwriter at one point.

Initial reports noted that negotiations between Amy Robach, TJ Holmes and her former workplace were difficult. Even in recent months there has been a lot of talk about it that he CMG3 the hosts could also be sacked for his alleged relationship. A legal expert said ABC could do whatever it wants in this situation, even if it could cost the company a lot of time. We can only speculate on how much money Holmes and Robach ultimately received, as well as how effective the alleged details the network has been trying to ferret out. But one thing seems clear, and that’s that the entertainment company is happy to have handled this “distraction”.
