Watching Henry Winkler get to know Mario Lopez’s DILF is more adorable than it should be

Henry Winkler is a national treasure. He has a reputation for being one of the nicest guys in Hollywood and has captivated viewers from the 1970s through to Happy days. He is now critically acclaimed for his far more dramatic role on the HBO series. Barry. While everyone loves Winkler, some may love him more than others, as evidenced by his apparent DILF status. And Mario López explained this concept to the actor on the Emmys red carpet.

This year, Henry Winkler was nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for his role in Barry. Midway through the ceremony, the beloved actor paused to talk to Access Hollywood about the acclaimed show and worked with fellow Emmy nominees Bill Hader and Anthony Carrigan. Insiders shared a hilarious tweet featuring the Fonz icon, in which one fan called him “underrated DILF.” The compliment was met with confusion by Winker, who said:

Wait a minute, is he like an elf?

It was clear that the 76-year-old star had never heard the euphemism before, and it was then that Mario Lopez intervened adorably and explained to the actor what a DILF was. Lopez told him that DILF stands for “Daddy, I’d love to-” and let the veteran star figure out the rest for himself. He was surprised but very flattered and took the copy of Lopez’s tweet, put it in his pocket before saying:

NO! I’ll keep this! I will not show it to anyone!

It’s such a fun exchange. It was good to see the development stopped alum rings and tickles that compliment. She always seems to have fun at Hollywood events and her heartfelt moments rarely disappoint. Even the experienced artist has a lot of fun working Barry, whose praises he still sings. While his role as fractured acting coach Gene Cousineau is certainly a darker role for the comedian, he played it to perfection. He certainly doesn’t want this to end anytime soon and he has expressed fear of Gene being killed because he doesn’t want his stint on the hit HBO show to end.

Critics certainly agree on the strength of his work on the drama, as Henry Winkler received his first Primetime Emmy in 2018, much to the delight of fans and the actor himself. With Barry (one of Bill Hader’s best projects to date), Winkler has accomplished what is easily one of his best works, and that says a lot.

As the veteran actor, I hope the show doesn’t end soon. Not only do I love seeing the dark twists and turns of the HBO series every season, but I also love seeing Henry Winkler doing what he does best. While he may not have scored 2022 Emmy Awards wins, he can still take heart in the fact that he now officially has DILF status.

Barry It’s currently in production for its fourth season, but you can see the top three, which are now streaming for HBO Max subscribers. You can also check out the 2022 TV schedule to see what shows will air in the near future.
