Éric Pauget, LR deputy for the Alpes-Maritimes, implicated the Government in the National Assembly on Tuesday in the murder of the young Lola. “Anger could not dissuade me” from asking this question, he said before elaborating on his comments.
“This child was martyred, raped by a clandestine […] The lack of implementation of these decisions makes your ministry responsible for this tragedy”, said the deputy from the 7th constituency of the Alpes-Maritimes.
Éric Pauget also questioned the “laxity” of the Government’s “immigration policy” when the main suspect had the obligation to leave the territory.
“Lola lost her life because you did not expel this national who had nothing else to do here. This is the heavy consequence of their inaction”, added the deputy, arousing strong reactions in the ‘Assembly’.
Dupond-Moretti booed
Approaching the microphone to answer, the Keeper of the Seals, Éric Dupond-Moretti, was booed by some of the deputies for almost a minute.
“You are playing petty politics, little poloche (…) You are using the coffin of a 12-year-old girl to take a step,” the Keeper of the Seals replied to the address of the deputy.
“You are always at the appointment of misfortune that you have been making your honey for years,” the Minister of Justice also stated.
A “shameful instrumentalization”
The statements of the deputy of the 7th constituency of the Alpes-Maritimes “outrage” the president of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region, Renaud Muselier.
“My fellow citizens of the South Region, who have honor attached to their bodies, can only be outraged by the shameful instrumentalization of the murder of a young woman, by deputy Éric Pauget,” he explains on his Twitter account.
A few moments after these heated exchangesIt was the Prime Minister, Élisabeth Borne, who, questioned about this tragedy by Marine Le Pen, asked for “a little decency” and “respect the pain” of loved ones.
