Conclave on pensions: France rebellious wants to present a motion of censure next week

LFI promises a motion of censure if the conclave on pensions among social partners does not lead to a “abrogation of the reform.” However, to present its motion, the rebel must find the signatures of the members of other parliamentary groups.

Insumise France wants to deposit a motion of censure against the government next week after the last meeting between social partners on pension reform, said National Coordinator Manuel Bompard.

“From the moment in which this conclave does not lead to the abrogation of pension reform, we will present a motion of censure (…) If on Monday night ends without an agreement or with an agreement that does not contain the repeal of the reform, there will be a motion of censure for the end of the week,” said Manuel Bompard in RTL.

As a deputy cannot sign more than three censorship motions (excluding 49.3) by session, LFI will have to find the support of around twenty members of other groups to reach the required quorum of the 58 signatories. Except to wait for the beginning of the extraordinary session of the Parliament on July 1.

What happens to the RN?

LFI will offer “to all on the left who want to place it with us to leave it together,” said Manuel Bompard.

“We have already launched six censorship motions against the government of François Bayrou. At the moment, the Socialist Party has voted in him. Then, if he changes his mind, he would be the first happy,” he joked.

But to leave the government, in addition to socialist votes, it would be necessary to support the RN and do not intend to censor the government before summer. “Today we are obviously waiting for the budget, this is where everything will be, at the beginning of the school year, probably proposed,” said spokesman Laurent Jacobelli in RMC.

In addition, Manuel Bompard again apologized from the first secretary of the PS, Olivier Faure, for the comments made by Deputy Jérome Guys in Jean-Luc Mélenchon described as “Anti-Semitic Bastard”.

If Olivier Faure “considers that these types of comments as a normal relationship between political groups on the left, everyone will understand that in this case, it is impossible to work with the Socialist Party. That it apologizes because otherwise it means that it is the line of the Socialist Party,” said Manuel Bompard.
