Pension reform: leftist elected leave the Senate chamber, article 7 will be voted on this Wednesday afternoon

The left decided to leave the Senate chamber overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday to protest the acceleration of the debates on article 7 of the pension reform, which must be voted on this Wednesday afternoon.

In protest at the acceleration of the debates decided by the right and the implementation of various maneuvers to limit the left’s amendments to article 7 of the pension reform, the socialist, communist and environmentalist parliamentarians left the chamber tonight.

“We leave you among yourselves”, launched Patrick Kanner, head of the PS group, in the chamber.

Gérard Larcher, president of the Senate, decided to adjourn the session a few minutes after this declaration, after the adoption of a rewrite amendment that struck down several hundred amendments from the left.

Therefore, the rest of Article 7 will be discussed on Wednesday afternoon.
