The scene illustrates the tension that the government’s use of 49.3 aroused among opponents of the pension reform.
In Dijon (Côte-d’Or), a rally was organized this Thursday afternoon, after the passage in force at the Palais Bourbon on the bill. Among the many actions, a scene, captured by The Public Goodit is particularly striking.
We see four dolls, with masks representing Emmanuel Macron, Élisabeth Borne, Olivier Véran and Olivier Dussopt, lying on the ground. After being heavily doused with gasoline, a protester sets it on fire with a lighter, causing a large fire.
The executive pointed out repeatedly
This is not the first time that members of the government have been targeted by opponents of the pension reform. LFI MP Thomas Portes was expelled from the Assembly for 15 days last month after posting a photo showing him with his foot on a ball bearing the likeness of Labor Minister Olivier Dussopt.
In Marseille, on February 11, a doll representing Elisabeth Borne was hung behind a truck, conspicuously hanging from a gallows.
