Portugal beats Turkey in 2024 European handball qualifying debut

The Portuguese handball team entered the qualifying phase for Euro 2024 this Thursday in the best way, by beating Turkey 44-27, in a group 1 match, played in Matosinhos, Porto.

At the Matosinhos Sports and Congress Center, the corner teams, clear favorites, did not give the Turkish team a chance, which had already reached the break winning 24-12.

With this victory, Portugal took first place in the group, with two points, the same as North Macedonia, which on Wednesday beat Luxembourg 38-24, with the Portuguese team having an advantage on goal difference.
