Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) added their second consecutive defeat at the Parc des Princes after being beaten by Lyon (1-0), in the 29th round of the French league. With Lionel Messi being whistled by the fans as the starting grid was announced at the stadium.
In a game with five Portuguese on the field – Danilo, Vitinha, Nuno Mendes and Renato Sanches for the Parisians and Anthony Lopes in the opposing goal – Lyon won with a goal from Bradley Barcola (56 minutes).
Due to this Sunday’s defeat, PSG is only six points ahead of Lens, with whom they will play on April 15, and Olympique de Marseille.
Also this Sunday, Monaco defeated Strasbourg (4-3) and approached the top 3 of the table. Also noteworthy is Reims’ victory over Nantes (3-0) with two goals from Alexis Flips. Brest exited the relegation zone by beating Toulouse (3-1), while Clermont defeated Ajaccio (2-1) and complicated the battle for sustainability.
As for the Ligue 1 red lantern, Angers drew with Nice (1-1).
