Already a million copies sold. In just ten days, the independent video game dave the diver It has left its mark among the best sellers of the moment. On both Twitch and Steam (the PC game sales platform), the title from the South Korean developer Mintroket shakes the counters.
On Steam, nearly 100,000 players played the game simultaneously on Sunday, July 9. A pretty rare performance for indie video games. Especially knowing that of all the games available on Steam, only 122 have crossed this symbolic bar.
On Twitch too, dave the diver charmed Up to 66,500 people watched content creators share their gameplay on the live streaming platform.
An oscillation between adventure and management
Inside dave the diver, players take on the role of Dave, a diver who explores the bottom of the sea in search of increasingly rare but also increasingly dangerous fish. The object of the game is to bring enough catch to the surface to supply the customers of a Japanese restaurant.
With magnificent pixelated graphics, the title oscillates between adventure, during the underwater phases, and management, when it comes to preparing the dishes to provide the restaurant’s services. What challenges in dave the diveris the multitude of characters that the player encounters during his adventure.

Available only for PC at the moment, the developers have already promised that a version for Nintendo Switch will be offered this year.
