The battle of professional controllers is coming. An announced Xbox Elite Series 2 competitor, PS5’s DualSense Edge now has a release date and price to compete on the performance front.
Featured at Gamescomthe German video game fair, last August, the pro controller for the ps5 it will arrive on January 26, 2023, Sony said on Tuesday, slipping in a few images of the future object and its accessories.
A professional controller at a dizzying price
This more complete controller is intended primarily for the most demanding and competitive gamers, particularly those who love shooting games or those who require multiple controls.
The DualSense Edge uses the color codes and features of the original DualSense (haptic controls, adaptive triggers, integrated microphone, vibrations). But it adds a higher level of hardware and software customization.
This will make it possible to reassign the keys, adjust the sensitivity of the joysticks and triggers or create different control profiles.
The controller is sold in a carrying case that includes back-positionable control paddles and semi-round back keys, three sets of joystick caps (standard, convex, concave), and a power cable. It is also possible to recharge the controller by leaving it in its carrying case through an integrated port.
DualSense Edge pricing and availability
The PS5 controller will be available on January 26, 2023 at a price of 239.99 euros. Replaceable joystick modules are advertised at 24.99 euros.
The DualSense Edge sells for a higher price than its Xbox competitor, the Elite Series 2 still considered the best controller in the world (179.99 euros), and at the price of the controller wear reflection ultra customizable at all levels (from 170 to 290 euros depending on options).
Pre-orders start October 25th from partner resellers and on the game station.
