Heetch continues its development in Africa

The French company VTC celebrates its tenth anniversary in 2023. The opportunity to affirm its position in France and continue its expansion on the African continent.

Sometimes it is difficult to resist the giants of your sector, here Uber or Bolt, and yet Heetch, a French company created in 2013, today boasts of having enabled more than 50 million trips in 10 years. Initially created to allow young people to bring other young people to reimburse part of their car expenses, the app has gradually developed to become a competitor to VTC companies already known in the market.

80% of trips in the suburbs

If the company claims to have succeeded in wresting market share from its competitors, it is in particular thanks to its particularity of making a large part of the trips beyond the big cities: 80% of the trips made through Heetch are made in suburbs.

15 African countries by 2024

But beyond the suburbs, Heetch has decided above all to seize a market that is still appreciated by the main VTC applications in the world market: Africa. And after Morocco, Algeria, Angola, Senegal, the Ivory Coast and Mali, the French company of VTC Heetch intends to continue its development on the African continent.

“We are reaching markets where we provide a fairly strong value with a reliable and safe transport offer”, points out Teddy Pellerin, who has in mind the goal of establishing itself in fifteen African countries by 2024.
