Russia denies attacking kyiv during peace mission by African leaders

Russia denied, this Friday, having attacked kyiv during a peace mission of African leaders. At the United Nations Security Council, Moscow’s representative, Vasily Nebenzya, took advantage of the statements by the South African president’s spokesman, who said he had not seen any sign of the explosions and accused Ukraine of having fabricated this fact.

Visibly irritated by the attacks carried out against Russia, the Russian representative denied the accusations leveled against the country, guaranteeing that Ukraine is carrying out a “disinformation campaign” facilitated by the West, and denied that the Russian military has attacked civilians, guaranteeing that even Kiev received anti-aircraft defenses had only hit military targets. Therefore, civilian targets were attacked by Ukrainian defensive missiles.

He also guaranteed that Russia does not use Iranian drones, “did not destroy the New Kakovka dam” and rejects the idea that the Black Sea Agreement has helped the world’s poorest populations. In addition, the ambassador accused the United Nations of having double standards, since a year ago the secretary general was warned of Ukraine’s intentions to destroy New Kakovka and did nothing.

The Russians have been asking for humanitarian aid for the populations of the occupied areas since February 2022, but the UN agencies have remained silent and now accuse Moscow of not giving access to the people affected by the dam break. An attack that, according to Vasily Nebenzya, was carried out by Ukrainians with authorization from Washington.

The Russian ambassador also accused kyiv of making paranoid accusations when it warned that Moscow was preparing to attack the Zaporizhzhia power plant. In response, the Ukrainian ambassador, Sergiy Kyslytsya, began by greeting all present and described Nebenzya’s intervention as “perverse and critical”, as he said a year and a half ago when he guaranteed that the invasion was aimed at avoiding a war against Ukraine. floor.

The Kiev representative also warned that Russia “is preparing to attack Zaporizhzhia,” saying that after the Nova Kakovka dam event it became clear that Russia is ready to use all means to disguise the difficulties it is in. . . Kyslytsya assured that this information was collected by the intelligence services and called on the international community to take measures to prevent the attack.

For the ambassador, “fear is Russia’s strategy” and that is why, at this moment, he is hiring the worst criminals he has in jail to fight in Ukraine. In the end, the speech ended by saying that “Russia is worse than Covid-19”, a “cancer that spreads” if not eliminated.
