Three people were injured by stab wounds in the heart of London in connection with a possible robbery on Thursday morning, British media report. Police and members of the emergency services are on the scene.
“We received reports that three people were stabbed and one person was pushed to the ground on Bishopgate Street at 9:46am,” London Police said on Twitter, adding that they arrived at the scene at 9:51am.
Three ambulances and two advanced medical workers are at the scene.
The unprivileged terrorist path
Police indicate that initially four people were treated and then three of them were transferred to a nearby hospital.
The scene took place on Bishopsgate Street, near Liverpool Street tube station. The circumstances of the tragedy have not yet been determined, while the guardian evokes a possible bicycle theft at the origin of the incident.
According to police, the tragedy is not being treated as a possible terrorist attack. They add that the situation continues “evolving” and that for the moment the runway of the flight that went wrong is privileged.
“The good news is that this is not a terrorist attack. The other good news is that the lives of the three victims of the attack are not in danger,” London Mayor Sadiq Khan rejoiced, reports The Telegraph.
The author of the drama has not yet been arrested, according to the English newspaper.
