The Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelensky, said Monday, June 2 on Monday, June 2 that his country was ready to take “necessary” measures to obtain peace with Russia during the conversations planned in Istanbul with Russia.
“The Ukrainian delegation arrived in Istanbul with a clear program and the will to take important measures for peace,” a source told AFP within the delegation.
“Yes (the Russians) are ready to advance, and not repeat the same ultimatums, then there could be good and great news today,” he added.
However, this source said that the Ukrainians “do not know what the Russians have brought to the negotiating table, because they have expressed their position or us, Türkiye or in the United States.”
