The Israeli prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, thanked the president of the United States, Donald Trump, for his “support” for the “defense of Israeli sky” on the sixth day of the war with Iran, during a television statement on Wednesday, June 18.
“I would like to thank President Trump, a great friend of the state of Israel,” he said. “I thank you for being by our side and I thank you for the support that the United States gives us in defense of the Israeli sky.”
The prime minister welcomed the continuation of the war launched on June 13 against Iran, ensuring that Israel “advances, step by step, towards the elimination” of the Iranian nuclear threat and that of its ballistic missiles.
At least 224 dead and more than a thousand injured in Iran
“We hit with an enormous power of the Ayatollah regime. We are touching its nuclear program, its missiles, its neighborhoods, its symbols of power,” added Benjamin Netanyahu, while depliating “great losses, painful losses” for his country.
From the beginning of the “Erected Lion Operation”, Iran “has attracted around 400 ballistic missiles” in Israel, twenty of which have affected civil areas and 1,000 drones, according to the figures provided by an Israeli military official on Wednesday night.
The official evaluation is at least 24 dead and 592 injured in Israel in these attacks for six days.
Israel did not communicate for possible losses within the army during the operations carried out in Iran, but acknowledged that Tehran had shot one of its drones. Israeli media are subject to strict restrictions by military censorship.
