A shooting on the march of pride. Two people were injured, including a serious, tonight on Sunday night in New York, near the symbolic bar of the LGBTQIA+Stuggy, The Stonewall Inn.
Around 10:15 pm, they shot one hundred meters from this bar located in the Greenwich Village district in Manhattan. A victim was shot in the head and was transported to the hospital. He is in a critical condition this Monday morning, according to a police spokesman cited by the New York Times. The second victim, wounded in the leg, is in stable condition.
If the pride march had taken place earlier in the day and was coming to an end, the police specify that it is not still certain that the shooting has a link with these celebrations. The investigation is underway. A firearm was found on the scene, according to the New York Channel Wabc of ABC News. However, no arrest has been made.

“I am sad to learn the shooting at Stonewall Inn tonight while the pride celebrations were coming to an end,” said New York Democrat Mayor Eric Adams, in X.
“At a time when our city should be happy and celebrated to the members of our diversified community of LGBTQ+, incidents like this are devastating,” he added, saying “Pray for the rapid recovery of the victims of the shooting.”
“The New York Police will work tirelessly and diligently to translate the suspects to the courts,” said the councilor.
