The Scout camp becomes drama. On Saturday, July 12, a 13 -year -old boy died during a Chiro camp, the flamenco equivalent of the explorers, in Leisele, on the Franco -Belga border. According to the initial information transmitted by local media, including 7Sur7, the girl died of heart failure.
Victim of discomfort on the first day of the camp, the animators of the camp immediately took the hospital, but could not be saved by medical teams.
“This is a heart rate disorder due to hereditary disease,” said Geert Verslype, head of the body of the Spoork Police area, the flamenco newspaper Het Laatste Nieuws.
After the tragedy, Chiro’s camp was evacuated and all the participants were recovered by their parents. “The camp will be evacuated today and the members will return home,” said Gert Stas, a councilor in charge of the youth of the parish of Saint-Tond, who organized the camp, interviewed by the Belgian newspaper Nieuwsblad.

“The parents were informed and the support personnel were deployed in the camp to welcome the participants,” he adds.
“Everyone is deeply affected. It is terrible. There have already been many tears and contiguous. All are deeply sad, for the parents and for the parents of the deceased girl,” they reacted in the same media, they are greeted, dean of the Chirojeugd-Vlaanden Catholic association in the camping initiative.
And to conclude: “The members were between 6 and 18 years old and did not arrive until Saturday. When they told the animators, they had 102. The camp was canceled and all the parents were called last night.”
