Heat Landy. A 4 -year -old boy who was on vacation in Sardinia with his family died of heat in a car where he was locked on Wednesday, August 6, reports several Italian media, including Message and Sassari Oggi.
The Moldavan family stayed in a friends house located in Olmedo for the holidays. While his parents rested, the boy left the house. After noticing his absence, his parents went in search of him and found him unconscious in his car parked in full sun.
An open investigation
The child was transported in an emergency and admitted to intensive care in a hospital in Sassari. Then, doctors diagnosed a heat race linked to a prolonged overexposure at high temperatures in the car where it was.
After two days of hospitalization, the child’s state did not improve. He was then transferred to a hospital in Rome. The situation stabilized and then improved slightly before worse on Monday. The boy died during the day, despite the attention provided by the specialists. The prosecution of Rome opened an investigation to shed light on the circumstances of death.
