The Ukrainian army announced this Friday, August 15, after having approached six villages in an Eastern Strategic Sector of Ukraine, of which the Russian units had been assumed in recent days, during a particularly fast advance.
This announcement occurs on the day of the meeting between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin, in Alaska. The command of the Ukrainian army has announced that “the advance of the enemy (had been) arrested” for his troops in the last three days.
At the beginning of the week, the Russian soldiers had successful in a flash advance in a particularly important area of the East Front, between the cities of Pokrovsk and Dobropillia, in the Donetsk region.
Russian advance contained in a narrow corridor
The Ukrainian command said Friday that the position of six villages had been made, citing the towns of Grouzké, Roubijné, Novodiané, Petrivka, Vesselé and Zoloty Kolodiaz.
This Ukrainian advance was also mentioned by the Deepstate military analysis site, near the Ukrainian army, which has an updated map of the front.
