US nuclear tests: Iran denounces Donald Trump’s “irresponsible” announcement

President Donald Trump ordered his Defense Department on Thursday, October 30, to resume testing of US nuclear weapons, “due to testing programs conducted by other countries.”

Iran has described Donald Trump’s announcement to resume US nuclear tests as “irresponsible”, considering it a “serious threat to peace”.

“The announcement of the resumption of nuclear tests is a regressive and irresponsible measure that constitutes a serious threat to international peace and security. The world must unite to demand responsibility from the United States, which normalizes the proliferation of these hateful weapons,” declared the head of Iranian diplomacy, Abbas Araghchi, on the night of Thursday, October 30 to Friday, October 31.

While the West and Israel suspect that Iran is secretly developing atomic weapons despite its denials, the minister estimated that the United States constitutes “the most dangerous proliferation risk in the world.”
