The Ukrainian capital, kyiv, woke up with strong explosions. The information is being provided by local authorities, at a time when air raid alerts are active throughout the Ukrainian territory.
On Twitter, international journalists, who are in the Ukrainian capital, write that loud explosions were heard in the central region of kyiv, information however confirmed by the mayor, Vitali Klitschko.
So far, there is no information about the existence of victims.
Also on social networks, the Ukrainian presidential adviser, Arestovych, writes that the Ukrainian forces detected the launch of a hundred missiles by the Russian army, in a new massive attack ordered by Vladimir Putin. The official urged Ukrainians to seek refuge.
In addition to kyiv, explosions were reported in other cities in the east of the country. The Ukrainian army confirms that several shells have already been shot down.
