Zelensky says that Russia has fewer and fewer missiles and enters “a dead end”

The Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelensky, assured this Thursday, after Ukraine suffered another massive Russian attack, that Russia has “less and less missiles” and that, with these operations, it enters “a dead end.”

“With each of these missile attacks, Russia is sinking further and further into a dead end. They have fewer and fewer missiles. Instead, they will have the status of the world’s biggest terrorist for a long time. And each missile only confirms that everything this must end with a court of law,” Zelensky stressed during his usual daily evening address to the nation.

Russia launched a new massive attack on Ukraine’s electrical infrastructure on Thursday that injured at least three people in kyiv and left 90% of the city of Lviv without electricity.

According to the Ukrainian head of state, the Ukrainian Armed Forces shot down 54 missiles and 11 attack ‘drones’, although some bombs were successful and hit their targets.

Therefore, tonight there are power outages in most regions of Ukraine and, according to the Ukrainian leader, the situation is “especially difficult” in the kyiv region, in the capital and in Lviv, Odessa, Kherson, Vinnytsia and Zakarpattia.

“Our power engineers and repair teams are doing everything possible during the day so that Ukrainians feel the consequences of the terrorist attack as little as possible,” he stressed.

Regarding the situation at the front, Zelensky stressed that there are no “significant changes” and that the Russians are not giving up “the crazy idea” of capturing the Donetsk region.

Zelensky also warned that, with two days to go until the end of the year, “perhaps the enemy will once again try” to make Ukraine celebrate the New Year “in the dark.”

The Russian military offensive in Ukraine was launched on February 24 due to “the need to ‘denazify’ and demilitarize Ukraine for Russia’s security,” as justified by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The war, which has dragged on for more than 10 months, has been condemned by the broader international community, which has responded by sending weapons to Ukraine and imposing political and economic sanctions on Russia.

According to the UN, the invasion and ensuing war have already caused more than 14 million people to flee, more than half of them to other European countries, with almost 18 million Ukrainians in need of humanitarian aid and 9.3 million they need support to eat and have shelter.
