“The Security Service of Ukraine has opened a criminal investigation into this terrible event,” Volodymyr Zelensky announced in his daily address, referring to a helicopter crash near Kyiv on Wednesday morning.
During this accident that occurred in the city of Brovary, “25 people were injured, including 11 children, while 14 people died, including a child,” the Ukrainian president said. Among the victims is Interior Minister Denys Monastyrskywho was in front.
This accident, which occurred four days after a Russian missile attack that killed 45 people in Dnipro in eastern Ukraine, aroused great emotion.
The trail of Russian sabotage
Ukrainian security services have indicated that they are considering all avenues, including a “deliberate action of destruction.” Volodymyr Zelensky has also launched: “This crash is not an accident because it is due to war (…) There are no accidents in wartime.”
BFMTV guest, Alexander Makogonov, spokesman for the Russian Embassy in France, assured that there was no “Russian sabotage” in the helicopter that crashed in Brovary.
“You shouldn’t see the Russians behind every event in the world,” he added.
During this investigation, Volodymyr Zelensky “instructed the head of the Ukrainian security service, in cooperation with all other authorized bodies, to clarify all the circumstances of the accident.”
“As soon as clear facts are established about what exactly led to the accident, we will provide this information,” the Ukrainian president concluded.
