The deputy defense minister of the kyiv government and several senior officials of the Ukrainian state resigned on Tuesday following news published in the Ukrainian press about alleged purchases of military logistics material at “inflated prices.”
Among the officials who resigned after the alleged corruption case were the Deputy Defense Minister and responsible for logistical support to the Armed Forces, Vyacheslav Shapovalov, the Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration, Kyrylo Tymoshenko, and the Deputy Attorney General, Oleksiy Simonenko.
