Ukraine: Moscow accuses the Ukrainian army of killing 14 when attacking a hospital

According to the Russian military, “Ukrainian armed forces deliberately attacked the local hospital building with Himars rocket launchers.”

Russia on Saturday accused the Ukrainian army of killing 14 people and wounding 24 when it struck a hospital in the Luhansk region of eastern Ukraine.

On Saturday morning, “Ukrainian armed forces deliberately attacked the local hospital building with Himars rocket launchers” in the city of Novoaidar in the Lugansk region, the Russian military said in a statement.

The strike “left 14 patients and medical staff dead and 24 injured,” it said.

The establishment’s doctors have provided “for several months medical assistance to the civilian population, as well as to the military,” according to the same source. “An intentional attack on a known civilian medical facility could be said to constitute a grave war crime of the Kyiv regime,” the statement added.

The World Health Organization wrote on Thursday having registered since the beginning of the war 747 attacks on places of hospital care, explaining that these attacks have caused 101 deaths and 131 injuries.
