A woman opened fire, this Monday, at a school in Nashville, in the city of Tennessee, in the southern United States, the local police announced on Twitter. According to the AFP agency, there are three fatalities, all of them children. The police ended up killing the shooter, who however turned out to be a young woman.
“Three pediatric patients were transported to Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital in Vanderbilt, all of whom suffered gunshot wounds,” John Howser, a spokesman for the Vanderbilt University Medical Center, was quoted as saying by AFP.
The Covenant School in Nashville is a private Christian school with students from Kindergarten to 12 years of age.
