There has been a lot of talk about Britney Spears’ use of social media since her tutelage ended. The singer used her newfound freedom to speak out about the restrictions she lived under and brought tears to her family. She also left funny pictures, commented on her interests, and posted a fair amount of adult content. This adult content caught the lion’s attention to the point that even her new husband, Sam Asghari, was forced to comment on it earlier this month. He has told fans that he “preferred” Spears not to post nudity on social media, but he has no control over her and doesn’t want to.
It’s unclear what Spears thinks about those preferences, but there was a lot of speculation after the singer, just days after her husband’s comments, posted a series of four posts with photos and videos of her in the shower, as well as a caption about how Instagram doesn’t like people showing off their bodies. However, shortly after publication, the posts were deleted, except for one which was just a selfie inviting his mother for coffee.
Last night, however, two more shower rods that are exactly the same or very similar to the ones that had been removed appeared. You can see one below, which could be NSFW depending on where you work and is set to “Doin It” by LL Cool J…
The photos and videos in question were taken during a recent trip by Britney Spears and Sam Asghari to Mexico. They were released soon after fans begged the singer to release more new content. Before she shut down her Instagram comments earlier this month, Spears’ fans were bombarding each of the singer’s posts with conspiracy theories. Much of her content was old photos and dance videos that looked like they were shot in her old house. This has led many to believe that she is not running her own social network or something is wrong. The conversation got so loud, in fact, that TMZ ran a story earlier this week saying Spears was fine and confirming the shower videos were new and filmed in Mexico.
Britney Spears and Sam Asghari wed in a fairy tale ceremony this summer. Since then, Spears has tried a variety of activities she was forbidden from doing while she was in her guardianship, including driving, using an ATM card and drinking alcohol. She has also traveled extensively with her new hubby, though much to the chagrin of fans, few paparazzi photos of those trips have surfaced.
There is also a pending lawsuit relating to her guardianship and specifically her father’s handling of her finances. She has regularly criticized her father Jamie Spears (and other family members) for what happened, but insisted that the guardianship was necessary and could have even saved her life. She is now reportedly working with ex-husband Kevin Federline to write a book about her fatherhood.
It’s unclear if the shower videos will stick this time around. Either way, it’s clear that Spears is determined, after being controlled for so many years, to live her life and make her own decisions regardless of the preferences of others, including her husband.
