Marvel actor Jeremy Renner was airlifted to the hospital on New Year’s Day after a snowplow accident in Nevada left him in critical condition. In a post just two days after the snowplow accident, Renner shared that he was “too confused to write” but wanted to “send some love” to his 18 million followers, who no doubt care about the well-being of the actor since the news broke. . Renner’s update comes as Washoe County Sheriff Darin Balaam gave a press conference later that afternoon about what happened to Renner on Jan. 1. According to the conclusions of the investigation that took place after Jeremy Renner’s accident, the actor’s personal vehicle, driven by a member of his family, got stuck in the snow near his residence. Renner decided to use his Sno-Cat (which weighs at least 14,000 pounds) to propel the vehicle forward and successfully towed it. However, the actor got off the Sno-Cat to talk to a family member and he rolled over and ran into him as he tried to get back into the driver’s seat.
With these findings in mind, the sheriff “didn’t suspect foul play” and classified it as a “tragic incident.” At the time of the crash, Balaam said there was about a meter of fresh snow on the ground. Over the weekend, the city of Reno, Nevada received six to twelve inches of snow at elevations below 5,000 feet and 18 inches at higher elevations, according to the Reno National Weather Service .
